![]() One of Revolus’s key priorities is increasing opportunities for affordable business and home ownership. As the first Haitian-American Council member, Revolus made history when she was appointed to the Common Council in 2020 and then won in 2021. Revolus is the owner of Ase Kreationz, a ceramic studio on Water Street. “With an 18-year-old raised in Norwalk and a 1-year-old that I’m about to raise, I just want to create a better structure for the year 2040 when our current kindergarteners graduate,” Revolus said. “She championed ensuring that not only the school would benefit our residents, but that the surrounding area would also be fair for our residents,” Revolus said.Įducation is also a topic close to Revolus’ heart. Revolus highlighted Young’s commitment to the new South Norwalk School and its impact on the surrounding area. Young, the council's majority leader, has been a resident of South Norwalk for 32 years and works as the Youth Services program manager for the city. “The transformation happening in South Norwalk is part of the work of myself, Darlene, and all of our council members,” she said. Collaborating over the past three years, Revolus said she and Young have been able to advocate for South Norwalk and cooperate with other districts throughout the city. This is his first time running for Common Council.ĭistrict B comprises South Norwalk neighborhoods, an area of Norwalk undergoing significant development-related changes. Wiggins is the founder, CEO and executive director of the Youth Business Initiative, a nonprofit that empowers underprivileged youth with workforce readiness and business development skills. ![]() “She’s always right there to help and support, and I wouldn’t feel as strongly about being where I am without her by my side,” Revolus said.
